I realized how selfish I am to wish that David wouldn’t take on this mission but before he left for good, that night on Twitter when I read about how proud his aunts and his mom were that they are now Missionary Mom and Missionary Aunts and then watching his last vlog (the one featuring in this video tribute) I saw and felt how big of a deal this Mormon Mission is for him and his family. I didn’t know it was a big deal for them at first because I’m not a Mormon and I don’t understand how their religion works but that vlog and him asking us, his fans, to support and respect his decision changed my perspective altogether. As of now, I completely and FULLY support his decision and I promise to go on for the next two years with a renewed inspiration because of David and the path he is taking right now. And on April 1, 2014, I will be one of the millions of people welcoming him back. I hope you’ll be one of those too
The missionaries from the MTC are singing in #ldsconf today. Rumor has it that Archuleta is gonna bust out a surprise solo
David in the MTC choir?!
I have some news for you all! This weekend is the General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It takes place on Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st. I will link you to the ways to watch it after I explain why I am thinking this might POSSIBLY have something to do with DAVID.
Basically, for those who don’t know the Conference is a time when members of our church gather around so that we can listen to the leaders of our church speak. It’s a wonderful, uplifting time and of course, there is music as well.
There will be a MISSIONARY choir from the MTC (the place where David is spending a few weeks before he leaves) performing during the morning session of General Conference.
It is NOT confirmed that David will be singing in the choir, but there is still a good chance he might since he is there…. and he’s got the most beautiful voice ever. So why not?
For those of you interested in watching you can view information about how to watch here…http://www.lds.org/church/events/april-2012-general-conference-dates-announced?lang=eng
Viewing options are toward the bottom of the page
The four general sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. mountain daylight time.
Even if David isn’t shown in the choir, it might still be fun for some of you to watch the Conference anyways since David will be watching too… at the exact same moment… it’s a way to feel closer to him and I am sure it will reaffirm even more why David wanted to be a missionary. The talks and music will be so inspiring.
So anyway, again.. Saturday morning session (10:00 MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME)… it is NOT confirmed HE will be performing BUT he might, and that is good enough for me.
For those of you who don’t get the chance to watch, I will post and let you all know if he was there or not. Please reblog/share this with all of your fellow Archangels! It would be sad to miss a chance to see David, even if is just a small chance.
Important Note: Please do not contact any of the missionaries, workers or volunteers who are at the MTC to get more information about David. Let’s all respect David’s privacy!
David’s vlog for us before he heads of on his missionary journey. We love you David and we’ll all miss you, and hope these 2 years are all that you’ve ever hoped for and more! So proud of you for following your heart!
Just one more vlog from home for a while before I leave on my mission. It has been an emotional week with family and friends. Just wanted to thank all of you for the support you have giving me for the last 4 years. Will see you all in 2 years.
