Come read a great big THANK YOU from me:) ~Wendy http://ning.it/hcFv3a
I’m sure if all the children who have benefited from the Music for Smiles project were given the chance, they would give all David’s fans a great big thank you hug! So, I’m going to do it for them! When this project was started with the help of 3 wonderful dedicated charity-driven fans, I thought to myself “It would be awesome to get 200 of David’s TOSOD CDs sent out to these children.” We just passed 1,000 CDs!!! As I write these words, I am in tears. The fans never cease to amaze me with each project that I am involved in. This was the first project that I headed, updated and kept track of on my own, my first “baby” if you will. And it was a huge success!!!
These children’s lives will forever be made better all because of all your generosity. There will be many smiles through the halls of these hospitals as David’s music plays in a place full of fear, pain, and hopelessness at times. I picture the music playing in the playroom, in the music therapy rooms, in the oncology unit, in the teenage “hangout” area. These are all areas that various hospitals have told us the music will be played. I also picture a lucky child who gets to go home and is given David’s CD. I picture a young teenager who has never heard of David and sharing his music with their friends and family. The possibilities are endless!!
I am blessed to have the chance on April 16th, just ONE day after the end of this project, to give David the very long list of fans who have made a difference in these children’s tough days in the hospital as they recover from injury or fight a long illness. I am going to be able to tell David “There are 1,000 CDs that have been gifted to over 90 CMN Hospitals!” And, we all know what he will say…..”How Cool!” or “That’s Awesome!!” haha. What are the chances that David would be within 2 hours of my house playing basketball the day after this project ends?? God’s hands are all over this project and they have been since the beginning when we started calling these hospitals not knowing what to expect and got amazing response and excitement.
So, as this project winds down on April 15th, please take time to pray for these children and that David’s music will touch as many kids as possible across the USA and Canada. I look forward to moving ahead and doing more good projects to help support charities and causes close to David’s heart. I will be working on an anti-bullying project next.
Please leave a comment how this project has touched you personally or how it made you feel to be a part of this. And, a great big THANK YOU hug from me to all of you!!!
~WENDY

David Archuleta Lyrics in a Wordle
We were having fun on twitter the other night and I was introduced to the site for making wordles. From their site, “Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text.” I thought these were really cool (shout-out to @pastelpastel for making mine from my tweets!).
And then I remembered I have a cool “list” of words–all the lyrics from David Archuleta’s album “The Other Side of Down.” So I tweaked my word list to take out titles and such and plunked it into Wordle and voila! You can click to see it better. It’s a fun exercise to see if you can figure out which song the least used words come from.
Oh one more thing. Wordle automagically removed what it called “common English words.” I wish they’d considered “oh” common, LOL. Can you guess which one of the following alphabetized common English words was actually used the most in the TOSOD song lyrics: I, it, the, you? No contest. The word “I” was used much more frequently than anything else. Makes sense, eh? After all, this was David’s album to talk about himself.
From @AngelsforaCause:
We just got #700!! thats lots of CDs making kids happy! on Angels for a Cause: http://ning.it/fCQx38

Ultimate TOSOD mug
Proceeds donated to St. Jude’s Hospital
The ultimate TOSOD mug! Lyrics and imagery based off of some beloved David songs on this cute coffee mug! All proceeds (that I earn – I earn 16% per mug) from this item will be donated to the St. Jude’s Hospital in David’s name. I thought a mug would be a good idea because, say for instance you’re having guests over. You make coffee, and drink out of your TOSOD mug. Your guests notice the mug and ask you about it. There will surely be some interesting stories and some great TOSOD promo
I know St. Jude’s isn’t one of the foundations David’s been involved with, but I chose it because it’s closer to me and David has mention it before, like in a recent tweet of his. Thanks everyone and hope you like the mug!

Inspirational Albums
Have you ever listened to an album which has had so much of an influence on your life that you are left with no other choice than to spread this influence to all of those around you?
Whilst looking through my iTunes library last night, I found myself steering towards the same three albums. These three albums have changed the way I think about life and how I choose to present myself to the world. Although there are many other songs, albums and artists which have inspired me throughout the last few years, these magnificent creations really deserve to be given the spotlight:
1. The Other Side Of Down by David Archuleta
The word inspirational was made for this album. I don’t think I will ever stop saying that David Archuleta is a vocal genius. Many, including myself, will say that this young man has the complete package when it comes to star quality; the looks, the incredible voice, the likeability factor and his obvious passion for charity and helping others. If that wasn’t already enough for all the fans out there, he also truly has musical direction and knows what he wants to create for himself and his loyal fans.Without a doubt, this is one of the most uplifting albums I have ever had the pleasure of listening to in my life. The lyrics in his songs actually convey pure emotion, unlike a lot of songs which break into the charts these days! Look Around is definitely a pivotal track which makes me want to be a happy, more positive person with a clear outlook on life. I also think this track has one of the best intros I have ever heard! It has to be said that we should all be extremely thankful to have David Archuleta and his sensational, thought provoking music in our lives.
